Ms. Hackett has experience with personal injury matters involving car accidents, bad faith insurance claims, construction defects, insurance disputes, motorcycle accidents and truck accidents. She represents clients throughout Colorado.
Practicing law for over 15 years, Ms. Hackett has considerable litigation experience. Prior to joining Varner Faddis, she spent four years practicing at a private law firm based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, concentrating her practice on business litigation and insurance coverage cases. During that time with the firm, she helped author the International Money Laundering Abatement and Anti-Terrorist Financing Act of 2001, which was featured in paBanker Magazine.
Ms. Hackett graduated with honors from the University of Montana with a bachelor’s degree in political science. She earned her law degree from Duquesne University School of Law, graduating cum laude. While pursuing her law degree, she served on the law review and gained practical legal experience by working for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Pennsylvania’s white collar crime unit.
Qualified to appear before all Colorado state courts, Ms. Hackett is also eligible to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado. She continues to maintain her license to practice law before all Pennsylvania state courts and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
Outside of her law practice, Ms. Hackett strives to stay active within the Colorado legal community. She is a member of the Denver Bar Association and the Colorado Bar Association.
